Canned cocktail alcohol examples

There is no universal canned-cocktail serving. The examples below show how the alcohol total changes when the size or ABV changes. They are label-based calculations, not product claims.

How to read an RTD cocktail label

Check whether the stated ABV applies to the whole can and compare the actual container volume. The cocktail name, base spirit, serving suggestion, sweetness, and calories do not replace those two figures. If a package contains more than one can, calculate the can first, then multiply by the number of containers.

Country references describe alcohol amount differently. A U.S. standard drink uses 14 g of pure alcohol, while Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and Singapore use 10 g references, and the UK uses 8 g units. Compare them on the country reference page.
