Our standards
- We use primary public-health, government, clinical, and peer-reviewed sources where practical.
- Every calculator explains its formula, assumptions, and limitations.
- Health and safety claims are reviewed before publication and dated when reviewed.
- Advertising, sponsorship, and affiliate relationships are disclosed and do not control calculator outputs or editorial conclusions.
- We do not publish content that promotes underage, excessive, illegal, or dangerous alcohol use.
For educators, editors, and resource curators
You may link to the specific calculator or guide that helps your readers understand a labelled product, country reference, or model limitation. Please describe our tools as educational estimates, not as breath tests, medical advice, legal guidance, or driving clearance. For source context, link readers to the relevant page's visible sources or to our methodology; for cross-country comparisons, use alcohol units by country.
Corrections
If you find a factual error or an unclear calculation, email hello@thebaccalculator.com with the page URL and supporting source. Material corrections will be recorded on the affected page.
