SIMPLE, TRANSPARENT MATH

Price × quantity
+ other costs.

Weekly spending equals your average price multiplied by your weekly purchase quantity, plus any extra weekly cost you entered. The tool then multiplies the weekly estimate by 52 for an annual estimate and divides that annual value by 12 for an average month.

What this calculator does and does not show

Price, venue, package sizes, discounts and frequency can change from week to week. This tool makes a simple assumption visible; it does not diagnose alcohol use, give financial advice, or recommend a reduction target.

Keep purchase units separate from alcohol units

A purchased drink, glass, can or bottle can contain different amounts of alcohol. If you want to understand a label, use the standard drinks per container calculator or the alcohol grams calculator. Do not use a spending result to infer BAC or whether it is safe to drive.
